
2026 Tax Deadlines & Dates
Partnership, LLC, & S-Corp Tax Returns due March 16
Personal & C-Corp Tax Returns due April 15

For individuals, the due date for filing your tax return is typically April 15. The last day to file your 2025 taxes without an extension is April 15, 2026.
For businesses, the due date for filing your tax return is typically March 15 if you are a calendar year filer. Businesses using fiscal years have 2 moths and 15 days after their fiscal year to file their return or extension.

The last day to do taxes isn’t the only important tax deadline to know, however. There are several important 2026 tax deadlines you should know.

December 1 - verify your address and employee information with your employer for proper W2 filing in 2026.

December 31 - Required minimum distributions must be taken for individuals age 73 or older by the end of 2026.

January 2026

January 15 - 4th Quarter 2024 estimated tax payment due.

January 31 - Due date for employers to send W-2 forms. Generally, this means W-2s get sent by January 31, but you won’t necessarily receive your form by this date. You can most likely access an electronic version of your W2 sooner.

January 31 - Certain 1099 forms are sent. including forms 1099-NEC,1099-MISC, and 1099-K.

February 15 - Reclaim your exemption from withholding. If you chose to claim an exemption from your employer withholding taxes from your paycheck last year by filing a Form W-4, you’ll need to re-file the form by this date. You would file this exemption request if you anticipate having no tax liability this year and had none in the previous year.

March 16 - Taxes due for Partnerships, LLCs, and S-Corporations with calendar year-end

April 1 - Required minimum distribution due if you turned 73 in 2024.

April 15, 2026 - Tax Day

April 15 - Deadline to File Form 4868 and request an extension. Payment is still due.

April 15 - Deadline to make IRA and HSA contributions for 2025 tax year.

April 15 - First quarter 2026 estimated tax payment due.
